
As we put the finishing touches on our curriculum book, we’re excited to start offering hands-on workshops to empower teachers, parents, and educators with the tools to bring outdoor learning to life! Our curriculum workshops are designed to help you seamlessly integrate our engaging, nature-based lessons into your teaching—whether in a classroom, homeschool setting, or outdoor education program.
While we plan to offer curriculum workshops for every class we offer in the future, we are currently focusing on a select few as we continue refining and enhancing our materials. Each workshop, ranging from 3 to 6 hours, provides exclusive access to all the carefully crafted resources we’ve developed, including:

Ethnoastronomy of the Dakota & Ojibwe
Join us for an immersive workshop that explores the natural world through the wisdom of Dakota and Ojibwe astronomy and storytelling. Indigenous history and legends serve as portals to understanding unique perspectives on life, nature, and the cosmos. Through the lens of Dakota and Ojibwe knowledge, we will uncover how these communities have historically interpreted celestial phenomena, navigated the night sky, and integrated astronomy into their daily lives, ceremonies, and seasonal cycles. This workshop offers a holistic approach that weaves together traditional stories, scientific observations, and hands-on activities to deepen our understanding of indigenous relationships with the stars, the land, and the rhythms of nature. This workshop is designed to honor and amplify Dakota and Ojibwe voices while providing participants with a meaningful and interactive learning experience. Whether you are new to indigenous astronomy or looking to deepen your understanding, this session will leave you with new insights into the interconnectedness of the universe, land, and traditional knowledge (3 hours)
Nature Art & Science
Discover the deep connections between art, science, and nature in this hands-on workshop that explores how humans have long used natural materials to create and express themselves. This workshop invites adults to explore the fundamental relationship between creativity and the natural world while gaining hands-on experience with art and science. Whether you are a seasoned artist or simply curious about the science behind natural materials, this session will inspire a deeper appreciation for the artistic and scientific wonders of nature. Participants will engage in creative experiments using natural elements while learning about the science behind pigments, fibers, and other materials. This workshop will blend artistic techniques with scientific exploration, offering a unique opportunity to work with natural materials while uncovering their chemical and historical significance. Whether you are drawn to the beauty of plant-based paints & dyes, weaving fibers sourced from nature, or other ways humans incorporate nature into their art, this experience will deepen your appreciation for the intersection of art and science. (3 hours/6 hours)
Outdoor Survival
Explore the art and science of survival while integrating cross-curricular subjects like engineering, math, art, biology, and physics in this immersive, hands-on workshop. Using real-world survival skills as a foundation, participants will engage in problem-solving activities that connect directly to core academic concepts. This curriculum can also be paired with a survival-themed book, such as The Hunger Games, Hatchet, or My Side of the Mountain, to enhance learning through storytelling and practical application. Participants will leave this workshop with essential outdoor survival skills—including the Rule of Three, shelter engineering, fire science and safety, water purification, orienteering, signaling for help, and more. Beyond survival, developing these skills foster confidence, self-reliance, teamwork, and critical thinking—applicable not just in the wild but in everyday life. This workshop blends adventure with learning, offering adults a dynamic way to connect survival skills with academic concepts. Whether you’re interested in outdoor preparedness, STEM applications, or immersive literature-based learning, this session will challenge and inspire. (6 hours)
