Service Learning is a great way to help people take learning into their own hands while also helping the community around them. Service Learning is Empowering. It helps people develop the mentality to be creative when solving problems as learning the skills and information they need to solve the problem. It also provides for many opportunities for cross-curricular learning as well as other skill development like problem solving, team building, communication, critical thinking, and more!

“Service Learning is Empowering”
Service learning projects can be done with everyone from schools and kid clubs to adult clubs and business teams. You pick the issue and or space of most concern and then we facilitate your team through a process that allows you to solve the issue, create and implement a plan, and provide experience, knowledge, and skills to help the plan succeed. This can also be in the form of helping you gather volunteers to implement the plan or helping with the behind the scene paper work for applying for funding. If you are interested in having EcoElsa staff help with a service learning project with your group head over to the Request a Program page to get started!
