Free Hike Friday Program Waiver

EcoElsa-Release-Liability-WaiverDownload

We at EcoElsa strive to provide safe, educational opportunities for adults and children. To do this, we make extensive use of Minnesota’s natural outdoor public spaces. These public spaces may contain hazards unknown to us and created by conditions beyond our control, including, but not limited to, outdoor weather conditions and other visitors. While our staff will always act to avoid or take any necessary precautions against known hazards, we ask that you work cooperatively with us to identify and avoid any unknown hazards you may encounter.

Please note that our staff have only limited medical training, are not medical professionals, and do not recommend any individual participate in EcoElsa’s outdoor programs if that individual has a medical condition or impairment, including the use of prescription medications, that might affect the individual’s ability to fully participate in these programs. By registering for the program this link is attached to, you, the participant or legal guardian of the participant, agree that you do not have any medical conditions or impairments that might affect your ability to participate in EcoElsa’s programs and that in the event of an emergency, you give permission for EcoElsa staff to administer first aid and obtain emergency medical treatment for the participant and hereby release EcoElsa and its staff from any liability related thereof.

Minor Policy

If a participant is a minor, they must be accompanied by an adult and have permission to participate from a legal guardian to attend a Free Hike Friday program.

Photo/Video Policy

At times, EcoElsa staff may take images or videos during a program to use for EcoElsa’s publications or social media accounts. We do not share these images or videos with any third parties and by signing this waiver you are agreeing to letting us use these images or videos. If you the participant or any dependents you are in charge of do not want photos or videos that show their faces shared by EcoElsa through its publications or social media accounts you must notify EcoElsa staff before or after the program so photos can be deleted immediately.

We understand and respect your right to protect your privacy and the privacy of your dependents.

Release of Liability

By registering for a program with a link to this waiver, you, the participant or legal guardian of the participant, agree to comply with the above policies and hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless EcoElsa and its staff from any liability due to actions in violation of the above policies.
